When do you want to get married? [Fun Fact]- I started making a wedding scrap book when i was 12, I love weddings.
I want to get married when I find someone who will pledge his love to me in a way like this:
his pledge to her:
i will kill the spiders. i will share my fries with you when you’ve finished all yours and are still hungry. i won’t ever pop my collar. i will never be rude to your tummy- when i hear it growl and gurgle, i promise to bend down and reply respectfully. i will eat the mushrooms when we order the supreme pizza. i will kiss the papercuts. and the door-slammed finger and the counter-bumped hip. i’ll try my hardest not to get annoyed when you whisper questions and comments during movies. i will be the big spoon. i will let you win at wrestling. sometimes. other times i will not. i will go faster. harder. i will pull when you want. and tease you when you don’t. i will send you random texts and leave you silly gifts. not always. not on schedule. just whenever i want to. whenever i think you need one. or seven. i will check your tire pressure. and remind you to take your car in. i will hold your hand. i will love you. i will love you. i will love you.
and when I find a man who will wait to see me on our wedding day looking something like this:
Have you ever thought to make a blog to keep track of your wedding inspirations?
What is your favorite part or moment about a wedding? [Not so] fun fact - Marriage scares me, but I love weddings.
My favorite part about a wedding? Wow, there are so many to choose from. I would have to say the moment when the bride’s father (or parents) give their daughter away is my favorite. That transition from being a defined as a daughter to now also having the title of wife, is a special moment. Having your parent’s blessing to move on to the next stage in your life is a wonderful sign of support and love.
I also love when everyone stands as the brides emerges, the look on the groom’s face when he first sees his bride, the look of relief and joy that is apparent on both faces as they take their first walk down the aisle as a married couple, and of course the dances later in the evening (both the first dance of the couple and the father daughter dance). Ohh there are so many things I love!
Phew, now that I’m done rambling, let me say this; I admire your honesty about marriage. I am relieved to hear someone else feels the same way I do. Choosing someone to spend the rest of your life with? Placing your heart in the hands of another? Trusting in someone to parent your future children? How will the decision commit like that ever be possible?! I think it happens with a little help from fate, magic, and true passionate love. Our hearts will lead the way and our minds will forget all our fears when we find the right person… this I believe for sure!
How long have you been dreaming about your wedding? Fun fact- I want to design my own dress.
I have started dreaming of my wedding when I saw the final scene in “Runaway Bride”. I loved her dress, the setting, everything about it! Then, four years ago I began working at a Bridal Shop as a part-time job. After I was exposed to the beauty of a bridal party, the moments shared between friends and family, and the happiness shared between loved ones, I was sold. I would look at bridal magazines during break and began formulating my own ideas; where did I decide to store and document these ideas you ask? Where else but tumblr!
It is very common to have a hands on approach in regards to designing your own dress. At the bridal shop I work at, the designer of a dress allows you to make changes (just as color, neckline, fabric, etc) so that your wedding gown is uniquely yours! I love that you want to design your own dress, best of luck to you!
I think it is about time we get to know each other better. Message me with a fun fact about you, or ask anything you would like to know about me! I am so flattered to have you all supporting my blog and send thanks to you every day!
